  1. setup servergrove for UK companies (docklands server farm)

Servergrove should setup a UK side to its business, with UK servers (based in London's Docklands) so that SEO etc wont be affected by US based servers.

From what I see, NO-ONE offers the kind of development hosting that you guys do, and hence you would be filling somewhat of a niche market here int the UK.

Personally I would aim these services towards the UK technology parks - such as the Cambridge Science Park etc etc.

    • Assign Projects to Sub-domains

Allow the assignment of projects to subdomains. This would mean that the project/application would be accessed via the subdomain.domain.com rather than www.domain.com/[app]

      • Allow YAML fixture files to be loaded

Allow YAML fixture files to be uploaded and then run to import the the data into the database. This helps in making it easier to import data into the DB without having to battle MySQL's importing.

        • Develop an Eclipse addin for management/monitoring/deploying

Implement an Eclipse RIA that simplifies deployment into your environment. Essentially a wrapper for your own server side code.
ie - develop an interface that wraps monitoring and eases FTP, SFTP, etc
          Devs like something sexy :)

            • Implement an API for allowing clients to white label

Implement a restful API that allows your clients to white label Server Grove's products - for domains, provisioning, etc

              • ServerGrove should offer Managed Ded. Servers

If ServerGrove were to offer managed servers, espically ones based in the Uk, then I think that you wound do very well.

Most companies charge around £200-£400 ($300-$600) Per month for managed dedicated servers.

After taking a look how cost effective, value-led, your servers are, I think you could do well in terms of profit margins!

                • Provide Hosted Continuous Integration & Deployment Service

Continuous Integration & Deployment is very good for rapidly iterating sites & fast development of web applications. However, it is bit of a plava setting up. Providing a hosted service would help web developers take advantage of CI/CD.

A hosted CI/CD service would require the following functionality:
                  1) Hosted Integration Server (e.g. Xinc etc.)
                  2) Automated Testing framework
                  3) Automated Deployment scripts

This is how I see it working from the developers perspective:
                  1) The developers setup the location of the code repository (SVN or GIT) & enable checking hooks that tell the integration server when new code has been…

                  • Implement a fuse like wrapper for applications

Implement a fuse like wrapper for PHP devs to offload storage of files to your backbone. This would allow apps to scale out easily without dev's needing to worry about NFS, shared storage, etc.
